“Hi from sunny Tamworth just spoke to the people at Bendemere pub. The greens are very wet and not really playable so we will cancel lawn bowls but meet up at the pub for lunch about 1130 12 o’clock. See you all there safe travels.”
“A lovely day on Tuesday at Nundle. I was so engrossed in the wool mill talk I forgot to take photos. Highly recommend the tour. We followed the tour with a lunch at the peel inn A great pub and they really looked after us.”
“Nothing like a change of itinerary when the weather turns
Some brave souls went to Uralla and then Armidale whilst some went to ten pin bowling. Again the staff went above to accommodate us on short notice. We followed this up with Chinese at the Dragon restaurant across the road. Amazing interior and fantastic service and food.”
“A much brighter day today Thursday as the rain finally stopped. Our lawn bowls was cancelled due to heavy rain the day before but those that came had a lovely welcome by the publican. They set up a special room for us This is an amazing well-maintained hotel on the riverbanks. Just beautiful outlook. Again, staff and owner going out of their way to accommodate us.”
