Monday: arrive at park Happy hour followed by welcome dinner at the park. For the welcome dinner Steve and I will buy sausages and chickens plus salads. Cash on the night between $5.00 and $10.00 depending on what is available.
Tuesday: Day trip to Nundle 60 km from Tamworth through some lovely country side. At Nundle there is the wool mill, gold fossicking and Museum, local shops, and historical buildings. Lunch will be at the Historic Peel Inn on the main street of Nundle. Return home at your leisure.
Wednesday: Day trip north with destination Uralla, about 90 km from Tamworth. Many little towns to stop at on the way. A great stop over at Kentucky where you will find Dobson’s Distillery. Home to award winning Gin, Vodka, Rum, and liqueurs. Taste testing available for a small fee. Also, we can have a guided tour of the distillery where they make everything from liquids to bottle labels. A great little speakeasy room to sit and relax. Then a short drive to Uralla for lunch at a local pub. Whilst in Uralla call into the information centre for information on Captain Thunderbolt and the many short historical walks around the town. Return home at your leisure
Thursday: A trip to Bendemeer, Home of Josh Hazelwood opening bowler for Australia. A game of barefoot bowls is organised for around 10:00 followed by lunch at the pub which overlooks the river.
The evening is a farewell dinner to recap our adventures. We have organised a spit roast dinner. The spit roast will be 3 meats (chicken, lamb and pork) Hot jacket potato, dinner roll and three additional sides, gravy, mint or apple sauce. We need payment before we go, please.
Friday: depart for a safe trip home.
