Day Two: Young – History and Cherries
Start your day with a town tour with our local guide on board the coach including a stop at the Chinese Tribute Gardens at Chinaman’s Dam, developed in recognition of the contribution of the Chinese community to the settlement of Young in the 1860’s. During Cherry Season, (mid-November- December) the next stop will be at one of the leading Cherry Orchards in the region. Subject to the weather conditions you can pick your own to take home with you & pay by the kilo for whatever you pick. If picking is not suitable the coach will organise to purchase cherries already picked & packed ready to go. Return to Young with a visit to the newly opened Robert’s Shark Tank. Nothing to do with fish, Robert’s Shark Tank is an awe-inspiring showcase, a magnificent culmination of a lifetime devoted to collecting treasures that resonate across generations. Within its depths lies a trove catering to every taste and inclination, a cornucopia of memorabilia and collectibles that beckon enthusiasts from all walks of life. Sporting aficionados will find themselves captivated by the array of sports memorabilia, while the fervent followers of pop culture will delight in the vivid tapestry of icons and artifacts. Then visit to Poppa’s Fudge & Jam factory for a tasting. They offer over 80 different varieties of jams, chutneys and Sauces and 40 different fudges all hand made on the premises.

Day Three: Homeward bound via the Blue Mountains
Today it’s time to farewell Young. Free time in Blayney for morning tea (own expense) followed by lunch in Lithgow plus an afternoon comfort stop in the Blue Mountains. We hope as you reflect on your holiday you have many new memories of your time in Young during the Cherry season.
